Young Company Booms in Down Economy

Smith Moore & Associates signs contracts with five new clients in 2011

Sacramento, CALIF. – Smith Moore & Associates recently signed contracts to serve as the association management
company for both the California Official Court Reporters Association (COCRA) and the Sacramento and Central Valley
Chapter of the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA).

Smith Moore & Associates will provide COCRA and BOMA with event support and registration, financial services,
communication outreach, and administrative support. The management firm officially began managing COCRA on
September 1 and BOMA on October 10.

In addition to signing contracts with COCRA and BOMA for association management, Smith Moore & Associates was also
selected to serve as the association management company for the California Association of Joint Powers Authorities
(CAJPA) and the Springbrook National User Group (SNUG) in the beginning of 2011, and was recently selected to plan
the California Emergency Services Association’s (CESA) 2012 annual conference. In 2011, Smith Moore & Associates
has taken on five new clients and plans to continue its business development efforts.

“I am thrilled with Smith Moore & Associates’ growth,” said Catherine Smith, president and owner of Smith Moore &
Associates. “We pride ourselves on providing our clients with custom services to fit each client’s unique needs. I credit our
new growth to the high level of service our staff continues to provide.”
Since Smith Moore & Associates’ inception in 2006, the company has grown from two employees and one client to 15
employees and 17 clients.

“We just celebrated our fifth anniversary, so we are still a young company,” Smith said. “I can’t wait to see where Smith
Moore & Associates will be in the next five years.”
